Welcome to Our First Issue!

Welcome to the first issue of the Golden Years, a newsletter geared towards the clients and friends of the Golden Cove Assisted Living Facility family. Golden cove is a home away from home, located three-quarter miles south-west of the Florida Hospital East on Lake Underhill Rd. and Goldenrod Rd. Our purpose is to provide seniors with an environment and service, which will restore, maintain, and improve the physical, mental & emotional quality of their lives so they enjoy longer, healthier and

more independent living. Golden Cove has the amenities you expect, the superior service you deserve at a price you will appreciate. Private and semi-private accommodations are also available. Accommodations are tailored to meet the needs of the individual. This issue will give a more detailed description of our facility and all that it has to offer to the Central Florida community.

Oh What an Exciting Adventure!

It’s hard to believe that Golden Cove started off as a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house. The owners, Dejuste and Yolette Precil, along with their children have lived in the home since the early 1980’s. Yolette worked on her career as an LPN at different nursing homes and hospitals, and finally began working on her dream of creating her own assisted living facility in 1998. The construction for transforming the house to a 10 bedroom, 5 bath home took a year of hard work and dedication; but in the year 1999, Golden Cove Assisted Living Facility was finally in business.

Golden Cove is now a home away for home available for 6 residents. Business has maintained during the past 3 years, and it has remained afloat thanks to the hard work and dedication of Yolette.

Meet The Mascot

Tyrone’s a 2 year old miniature pinscher who’s been a great addition to the Golden Cove family over the past year. Yes, he’s cute, cuddly and sweet, but he serves a purpose. According to the Delta Society, pet therapy can cause a great improvement in the overall health of the elderly. The result of the Delta Society’s research found that pet ownership serves as an important coping resource to seniors, which in turn enables them to deal with stressful life events. The current residents enjoy petting and feeding Tyrone and he’s good for their health too!
